REALISTIC FLY TYING - HERE IS A SPIDER TO TRY!
This spider is living on the back porch of my house. It has it's web close to our back porch light and eats a bunch of the moths that come to the light each night. Sometimes my dad and I catch a moth and throw them into the spiders web so we can watch it come grab them and wrap them up in his silk. Then by morning he has eaten them! I thought this would be a fun project to try and tie a realistic fly of this guy. I watched Rich Bogardus tie realistic spider pattens a couple of years ago when I tied flies at the International Fly Tying Symposium in Somerset, New Jersey. I hope all you fly tyers out there try this one.
