JANUARY FLY FISHING - MONTROSE, COLORADO

I had a great January fishing the Uncompahgre River at different places near my house. All nymph fishing and lots of health fun rainbows, browns and cutthroats. I have done good fishing a two fly rig and a strike indicator as well as trying some of European nymph fishing techniques. Here are a few pictures from some of my trips.

Fly fishing with my little sister on January 2nd.

Little sister Vivian with a nice trout!

Amazing colors on this cutthroat.

Releasing a pretty rainbow below Ridgeway Reservoir.

Fishing very close to my house on the Uncompahgre River.

My friend Bob Burk. The owner of Cimarron Creek Fly Shop in Montrose, Colorado. He took me to his private water on the Uncompahgre River. It was a great time!

It does not get any better than catching healthy trout during the winter.
