“I believe fly fishing is an adventure that includes spending time outdoors learning about nature with family and friends, and is sometimes about catching fish. Fly fishing is a sport and art form that uses a rod and line to cast a fly to a fish, and hopefully trick the fish into eating my fly.”
Tyler was just awarded the Overall winner of the 2008 British and International Fly Tying Championship in Newark, England for the Junior Division (16 years and under). One of his flies also took Runner-up honors in the "Dry Flies and Terrestrial" category (this catagory included the entries from the adult fly tyers as well).
Tyler receives a silver medal in the junior category of the 2008 Mustad Scandinavian Fly Tying Open. His wet fly entry placed 4th and his streamer entry placed 6th. View all the final results.
